About This Site

The Homelab Site documents practical self-hosting setups, Docker Compose examples, troubleshooting notes, and lightweight infrastructure experiments.

The site focuses on real-world homelab environments using technologies such as:

  • Docker Compose
  • Ubuntu servers
  • Synology NAS systems
  • Reverse proxies
  • UPS shutdown handling
  • Self-hosted applications

Most guides are based on configurations that are actually used and tested in my own environment rather than theoretical examples.

The goal is to keep things:

  • Practical
  • Lightweight
  • Understandable
  • Reproducible

This is not an enterprise-focused site.

The emphasis is on small-scale self-hosting, experimentation, learning, and building reliable systems without unnecessary complexity.

Many of the tools included on this site are simple browser-based utilities designed to make common homelab and Docker workflows a little easier.

The site itself is self-hosted using Docker Compose, MkDocs Material, Caddy, and Cloudflare DNS.
